chicks

We have lavender and buff orpington chicks hatching couple times a week. We have lavender and buff crosses periodically as well. They were an oops initially when I incubated the wrong eggs, but turned out too cute to not hatch them on purpose from time to time. I currently have chocolate and blue black splash growing out and hope to hatch their chicks in late summer/early fall. We have an assortment of jumbo coturnix quail chicks that typically hatch every other week. They may consist of dotted white, pearl, and tuxedos. When my chicks hatch, they remain in the incubator for two days. I then keep them another two to three to ensure they are eating, drinking, and thriving. I may keep my quail chicks a bit longer as they tend to be more fragile. My chicks are not vaccinated and fed non-medicated crumble. They are also given electrolytes in the water for the first couple of days. I will be taking a seasonal break from hatching in October and will fire up the incubators again in late February. eggs

We have eggs for your incubator or broody hen. You can purchase Orpington eggs from one of our lavender pens which each consists of a mottled lavender rooster and four lavender hens. Their chicks will be lavender split to mottled. I have one mottled lavender hen and will be hatching her eggs soon to add mottled lavender hens as well as have mottled lavender chicks available. We also have jumbo quail eggs available for hatching. Varieties include Jumbo White, Jumbo Pearl, and Jumbo Red RangeTuxedos. We will typically alternate between filling our incubators and having eggs available for hatching. Hatching our eggs periodically not only gives me chicks to add to our poultry farm or sell, but also gives me a good indication of our hatch rate and quaility of chicks. They will be very fresh as I only sell eggs for incubating that were laid within the last four/five days. The date the eggs were laid will be labeled on the carton as well as which group they came out of. Should you choose to get more eggs at a later time, you can get eggs from a different genetic group if you desire. Contact us for availability and pricing.
